I’ve felt this way for some time. We all know there are plenty of social media methods for seeking out new business these days, but the question is, do businesses see the value in it? Because social media on a professional level is akin to an ongoing networking event, the Return on Investment (ROI) is not always a tangible commodity. Relationship building is STILL what it all comes down to, and social media is simply the 21st century version of getting there. Whether Facebook leads you to a client meeting, or a client meeting leads you to Facebook, it’s clearly an essential tool in the marketing box. Just be sure to keep in mind that that’s just what it is, a tool. Nothing can replace real people, not even your status update.
